Love Is Never Out Of Season (OA2)
What a great CD. I have only recently started to play it here at WOBO radio, and like several listeners can't seem to hear it often enough. I would like to site a favorite track, but they are all so outstanding that would be impossible. I will tell you that the selections are all outstanding as are the back up musicians. I love anything John Clayton does, and I would like to site Joe LaBarebra for the swingin' time, especially the clock ticking sounds on WHEN I GROW TOO OLD. I must also say that the use of the never before heard (by me anyway) intro to this song is so poignant as to bring tears to my eyes. You are a true artist. Keep up the good work, and if you have any further material please keep me informed.
I have attended many jazz festivals in California put on by Ken Poston, Joe Rothman, Larry Hathaway and others as well as IAJE conferences. I have seen and heard all of your back up musicians at one or more of these events. How, or why have I missed you? Keep swingin'.
